RAMALLAH, July 28, 2025 – President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his appreciation for the special appeal that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made to the U.S

President Donald Trump, calling for an end to the war on Gaza and the immediate entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.

President Abbas described the initiative as a continuation of Egypt’s historic and pivotal role under El-Sisi’s leadership in supporting the Palestinian cause, stopping Israeli aggression, facilitating the delivery of aid, and preventing the forced displacement of Palestinians.

He expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s efforts, praising its leadership in promoting regional and global peace and stability.

President Abbas reaffirmed Palestine’s unwavering support for Egypt, its people, and its wise leadership in advancing development and prosperity and in confronting all forms of terrorism targeting Egypt and its national security.

The president emphasized importance of continued joint coordination to serve the best interests of the two brotherly countries and their peoples.
