RAMALLAH, May 14, 2025 – On Wednesday evening, President Mahmoud Abbas chaired a meeting with the chiefs of the security services at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.

The meeting, attended by Hussein al-Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine and Vice Chairman of the PLO Executive Committee, focused on the security services’ efforts in executing the "Homeland Protection" campaign. This initiative aims to uphold the rule of law and ensure the safety and security of Palestinian citizens.

President Abbas commended the security services for their dedication, especially in light of the difficult circumstances faced by the Palestinian people. He emphasized the importance of enforcing the rule of law, safeguarding citizens' security and dignity, and maintaining strong coordination among the security services. This collaboration is essential for providing the professional policing and security that Palestinian citizens rightfully expect.
