RAMALLAH, March 29, 2025 – President Mahmoud Abbas held a phone call today with the King Abdullah II of Jordan, during which they exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings.

King Abdullah II expressed his hope that God Almighty would return this occasion with the Palestinian people having achieved their hopes and dreams of freedom and independence.

He further affirmed Jordan's firm and clear position on the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.

For his part, President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated King Abdullah II on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, wishing the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its brotherly people further progress and prosperity.

He also expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah II and the people of Jordan for their ongoing support to the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
