CAIRO, March 4, 2025 – The emergency Arab Summit will kick off this evening in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, with the participation of the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.

The President will deliver a speech at the summit on the developments in Palestine, and will meet with several Arab leaders on the sidelines of the summit.

This summit comes at the request of the State of Palestine, in order to coordinate positions and unify visions regarding the challenges and serious developments facing the Palestinian cause, especially the Arab consensus on the reconstruction plan in the Gaza Strip without displacing our people, consolidating the ceasefire, the State of Palestine assuming its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, stopping Israeli practices and plans in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and working to implement the two-state solution, which will lead to ending the occupation and embodying the Palestinian state on the 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and subsequently achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
