RAMALLAH, January 9, 2025 – President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun following his election as President of Lebanon and his swearing-in to office.

In a telegram to President Aoun, President Abbas expressed his best wishes for his success in leading Lebanon towards greater progress and prosperity.

He also emphasized Palestine's commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and partnership with Lebanon: its government and its people.
