RAMALLAH, March 15, 2023 (Xinhua) – President Mahmoud Abbas received today, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, a delegation from the U.S. Middle East Investment Initiative.

The delegation briefed President Abbas on the initiative’s objectives and projects, particularly those implemented in Palestine, where the organization provides support to emerging Palestinian enterprises through loan guarantee programs.

President Abbas emphasized the importance of this initiative in supporting Palestinian start-ups and strengthening the national economy.

He underscored the need for these projects to prioritize the productive and agricultural sectors, given their direct impact on the Palestinian economy, and stressed the importance of dedicating special attention to Jerusalem within the framework of this vital initiative.
