DOHA, March 3, 2023 – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in the Qatari capital, Doha, where he is scheduled to participate in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5).

During his visit, the President is expected to meet with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, on the sidelines of the conference.

On Sunday, the opening day of the conference, President Abbas is scheduled to deliver a speech in which he will address the escalation of crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and settlers against the Palestinian people, as well as Israel’s continued impunity as the occupying power.
