President Abbas arrives in Saudi Arabia to participate in the Arab-China Summit

RIYADH, December 8, 2022 – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the Arab-China Summit for Cooperation and Development.
Upon his arrival, the President was received by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League.
Several Arab leaders, along with Chinese President Xi Jinping, arrived in Riyadh yesterday to attend the summit, which will continue through December 9.
Accompanying President Abbas on his visit are Hussein al-Sheikh, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO); Riyad al-Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates; Majdi al-Khalidi, the President’s Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs; and Bassem al-Agha, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Saudi Arabia.
