RAMALLAH, Monday, July 18, 2022 – President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to arrive today in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, for an official two-day visit before traveling to France as part of a European tour, the Palestinian presidency announced.

During his visit to Romania, President Abbas will meet with President Klaus Iohannis and other senior officials to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations across various fields.

As part of the visit, two cooperation agreements are expected to be signed—one in the academic sector and another aimed at combating organized crime.

Upon concluding his visit to Romania, President Abbas will depart on Tuesday for France, where he is set to meet French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday.
