RAMALLAH, Friday, May 13, 2022 – President Mahmoud Abbas today offered his condolences to the United Arab Emirates, its leadership, and its brotherly people, as well as to the Arab and Muslim nations, following the passing of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

On behalf of the State of Palestine and the Palestinian people, President Abbas extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the UAE’s government and people over this great loss.

In tribute, President Abbas declared tomorrow a national day of mourning across Palestine and ordered flags to be flown at half-mast.
