RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 14, 2022 – President Mahmoud Abbas held a telephone conversation this evening with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which they discussed the latest serious developments in Palestine as a result of the Israeli authorities’ escalating and aggressive practices. These include the killing and arrest of Palestinians and large-scale destructive incursions into cities, villages, and refugee camps across the West Bank.

Emir Sheikh Tamim affirmed the gravity of the situation, expressing his solidarity and his readiness to do everything possible in support of Palestine.

President Abbas thanked the Emir for his continued concern and support, stressing the seriousness of the current developments, which he said will require the Palestinian leadership to convene and take the necessary decisions in response.
