Palestinian leadership, in a meeting chaired by President Abbas, stresses unity, national dialogue

RAMALLAH, Thursday, March 10, 2022 – The Palestinian leadership, chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas, held a meeting tonight at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, reaffirming the importance of national unity and dialogue.
President Abbas briefed the leadership on the latest internal and external developments, as well as the decisions adopted by the Palestinian Central Council in its latest session. Discussions also addressed the mechanisms for implementing these decisions and the efforts of the committees tasked with informing countries around the world about them.
The leadership underscored the need to strengthen national cohesion and launch a national dialogue among the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), as well as at the broader national level.
It also emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue with Palestinian civil society organizations and the private sector, describing them as genuine partners in the struggle for liberation, state-building, and independence.
The leadership praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and other areas targeted by Israel, as well as their popular resistance, calling for the expansion of popular resistance throughout all areas, including by Palestinian communities around the world.
