DOHA, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 – President Mahmoud Abbas today met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Amiri Diwan in Doha.

President Abbas briefed the Emir on the latest political developments on the Palestinian arena, with a particular focus on the ongoing Israeli violations and encroachments upon the holy sites in Jerusalem.

He also discussed with the Emir ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across all fields.

President Abbas arrived in the Qatari capital at the invitation of the Emir to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021.
