President Abbas arrives in Sochi for a meeting with his Russian counterpart Putin

SOCHI, Monday, November 22, 2021 – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi, where he is scheduled to meet his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, tomorrow.
During the visit, President Abbas will brief President Putin on the latest political developments in the region, and the two leaders will discuss ways to coordinate their positions on various issues of mutual concern.
They will also explore means of strengthening the special bilateral and historical relations between the two peoples and leaderships, as well as a range of international and regional topics of shared interest.
The President is accompanied by Hussein al-Sheikh, member of Fatah Central Committee and head of the General Authority for Civil Affairs; Major General Majed Faraj, head of the General Intelligence Service; Majdi al-Khalidi, the President's Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs; and Palestine's Ambassador to Russia, Abdel Hafeez Nofal.
