RAMALLAH, October 1, 2025 – Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the State of Palestine, expressed his appreciation for the recent statements made by the Republic of Turkey in support of Palestinian rights. He highlighted their call for an end to the war, a halt to annexation, and measures to prevent displacement.

President Abbas commended President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just rights. Additionally, President Abbas welcomed remarks made by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in which he reiterated Turkey's backing for U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip and expressed Turkey's opposition to the annexation of the West Bank.

The President emphasized that these statements align with the Palestinian position and reflect the views of all nations committed to ending the war and establishing peace in the region and around the world.
