RAMALLAH, October 22, 2025 – President Mahmoud Abbas inaugurated the 10th National Forum titled "Creativity from Homeland to the World - Towards a Cross-Border Creativity System" on Wednesday. The event was organized by the Higher Council for Creativity and Excellence.
In his speech, the President emphasized that creativity and excellence are inherent characteristic of the Palestinian people, with roots tracing back to the onset of the Palestinian Revolution in 1965.
He highlighted that the Excellence and Creativity Project, led by Adnan Samara, the Chairman of the Higher Council for Creativity and Excellence since 1970, has played a crucial role in showcasing Palestinian capabilities. The project has facilitated numerous pioneering inventions and initiatives despite the challenging circumstances faced by our people and their repeated displacements.
Nevertheless, the spirit of creativity remains alive in the minds of Palestinians.
President Abbas expressed his support for this initiative, believing in the importance of fostering a culture of excellence and creativity in Palestinian society. He noted that Palestine is home to many talented and productive young individuals who possess intelligence, thoughtfulness, and culture, and are capable of achieving remarkable accomplishments.
He stated that the successes we see today serve as evidence of the ongoing and rapidly developing creativity among Palestinians.
The President stressed that excellence and creativity are the most important qualities of advanced nations. He noted, "We have young people who possess thought, culture, and the ability to achieve accomplishments, and today we see the fruits of this giving in many fields".
He underlined the necessity for these achievements to be implemented in practice, encouraging government institutions and companies to adopt Palestinian ideas and inventions. He remarked, "It is not enough to say that we have achieved an invention; it must find its way to implementation for the benefit of people and society".
President Abbas toured the National Creativity Exhibition, which features over 127 pavilions representing Palestinian universities, startups, youth initiatives, student projects, and institutions that support excellence and creativity.
