RAMALLAH, June 23, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received the credentials of Archbishop Giorgio Lingua as the Apostolic Delegate in Jerusalem and representative of the Holy See's mission to the State of Palestine on Tuesday.

The ceremony took place at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, attended by the President’s Diplomatic Affairs Adviser Majdi Al-Khalidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian, and the Commander of the Presidential Guard, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Daajna.

During the event, Archbishop Lingua reviewed the guard of honor lined up to welcome him.
