On the occasion of Upgrading the Status of Palestine to a non-Member Observer State of the United Nations, and raising the flag of Palestine on the headquarters of the UN world wide, and pursuant to the Decree we have issued on October 2016 on the Decorations of the State of Palestine;

We hereby endorse these Civilian and Military Palestinian Medals and Decorations, as a symbol of sovereignty of the emerging State of Palestine by which we would be able to demonstrate appreciation to the Palestinian personalities who have provided significant services to the country, as well as express allegiance and gratitude to Arab and foreign leaderships and personalities, who have supported the Palestinian nation and stood up for it in achieving the aspirations thereof towards freedom and independence.
